Jo and I are fans of Alain de Botton. We have a number of his books and subscribe to the Philosophers Mail and The School Of Life. I like the way he states the bleeding obvious in an interesting way and relates this to the ideas of old dead guys (not all are dead and not all are guys) without being boring. I actually like the old dead guys being a big fan of the Stoics, but Alain puts a breath of fresh air into the subject and there is nothing like reading about old dead guys with a smile on your face to annoy people. Especially when he is talking about the Kardashians. That being said the purpose of this post is to highlight the fact that The School of Life now has a YouTube channel so check it out starting here.
